Volunteering for the 4th of the July Parade brings me lots of joy and reminds me of what a special community we grew up in. I hope that what we do creates unforgettable memories as it did for me when I younger.

In part, I have a lifelong debt to pay. Nameless individuals provided their time and money to help me when I came as an unaccompanied 10 year old to the US in the 60’s. I honor their memory and their help whenever I volunteer.
