Daniel Castro is an Executive Director in the Miami office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In this role, Daniel co heads the Financial Sponsors Group for South Florida, delivering holistic advice and guidance, helping high net worth financial professionals and their families build, preserve, and manage their wealth for themselves and future generations. His team focuses on Private Equity, and Venture Capital professionals and they strive to gain detailed understanding of their clients’ values and financial goals. From there, they design strategies that are tailored to address each client’s unique needs from managing everyday banking to tax aware borrowing opportunities, long term investment planning and philanthropic giving.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, he served as Vice President, Private Wealth Relationship Manager with the Merrill Lynch Private Banking & Investment Group, focusing on the development and implementation of asset allocation targets for ultra high net worth families. Mr. Castro began his career with Merrill Lynch as a Private Banking Analyst Daniel is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. He is an active member of the CFA® Society of Miami, the CAIA Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami.
Mr. Castro received a bachelor’s degree in finance (cum laude) with a specialization in energy markets from Tulane University in New Orleans. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad de los Andes in his native country, Colombia. Daniel resides in Key Biscayne, Florida with his wife Alessandra and two children, Emilia and Matias. His hobbies include playing tennis, golfing, and biking.
