Join us on the 19th Annual Jorge Portela Memorial Give-or-Take An Inch, Half-Ass Fishing & Diving Tournamenton June 18, 2016. Registration for this event closes on June 8, 2016. The tournament originated in 1994 from a friendly bet amongst Jorge’s friends as to who could catch more fish: the anglers or the divers? Unfortunately, in 1997 our good friend Jorge lost his battle against cancer. At that time, the name was officially changed to the Jorge Portela Memorial, Give or take an inch, Half Ass Fishing and Dive tournament.

Over the years, some of the rules have changed, the number of participants has increased, the boats have become more beautiful, and the top prize has changed, but the spirit of the tournament has not! This tournament is to honor Jorge for his commitment to family and friends and for his enthusiasm for life, good fishing as well as a good party!

This year’s tournament will be a special one since it will fall on the day of Jorge’s passing. We know that he will be in everyone’s heart and mind that day! We will miss you Jorge!
