All adults in the greater Key Biscayne area should be aware of an extra special upcoming winter concert: New World Symphony’s “The Sounds of the Season.” This trip, sponsored by the Key Biscayne Community Center, will provide transportation to the New World Center, home of Miami Beach’s New World Symphony. Legendary conductor Christian Reif will lead an epic performance that makes a lasting impact on all members of the community who choose to attend.

This festive program, set for Dec. 18, is the best way to celebrate the start of the Christmas season. Audience members will experience an unforgettable show that allows them to embrace the gift of music alongside their friends, family and fellow community members. Go on a Musical Journey
This year marks Christian Reif’s second year as the Conducting Fellow with the New World Symphony. His past roles include conducting with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra’s world premiere as a component of Tanglewood’s 75th anniversary season. He also worked as a cover conductor with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In 2014, Reif operated as an assistant conductor beneath Alan Gilbert, the music director of the New York Philharmonic, at New York’s Phil Biennial. Reif is proud to be a member of the prestigious German Conductor’s Forum, referred to as “Dirigentenforum.” He is also widely known for winning the German Music Council’s German Operetta Prize in 2015.

The New World Center was built to host events like the New World Symphony’s “The Sounds of the Season.” This highly unique orchestral academy is led by 11-time Grammy Award winner, Michael Tilson Thomas. Under his guidance, the New World Center has evolved into a one of a kind musical laboratory that has spawned countless new music ideas.
