City Theatre Fund

City Theatre Fund provides play readings performed by City Theatre actors and written by distinguished and emerging playwrights.

City Theatre was founded by Key Biscayne resident Susan Westfall. Susie is the Literary Director. In 19 years City Theatre has received thousands of submissions and produced hundreds of plays in its festivals, Short Cutstours, and reading series.

Because City Theatre is the primary company doing shorts in our region and has an open door policy, it premieres original work and produces published plays and second or more productions. Any season can feature prize-winning playwrights alongside brand new voices, some from our own South Florida back yard. There have been mini-musicals and bilingual scripts, all of which comprise exciting programs summer after summer.

City Theatre Play Readings partners include Key Biscayne Community Foundation, City Theatre, and Village of Key Biscayne.
